Kids Charity Fun Run

The was my first public race so I was very excited.  It was also a great opportunity for kids to have fun and raise money for an important cause. 

The Ronald McDonald House provides temporary housing for pediatric cancer patients and their families.

Oh boy was it cold that day so I put my race tee shirt on over my clothes and I borrowed a pair of gloves ( a little to big for me but they were warm) and a headband.  I was ready.  I planned on running like the Road Runner.  All you saw was smoke coming from my feet!  Okay, maybe that was my own breath coming from my frozen face.

Ah, nice & warm in the car on the way to the race.

Umm,not so warm anymore waiting for the event to start.

Oh I'm ready now. Put me in coach. I can win this thing!

Yes! Victory is mine!
