Webkinz are stuffed animals that come with a special code on their labels that allows access to the "Webkinz World" which is a website to "adopt" a computer version of your new pet. There are also smaller versions of the toys called "Lil' Kinz".
When you adopt by entering the code on the label of your first Webkinz pet at Webkinz World, you get things such as a room and 2000 "Kinzcash" to buy different things for you pet, like clothes or toys. Earning Kinzcash involves playing games, including quizzes and arcade games.
Each pet also has levels of happiness, health, and hunger that increase as time is spent with that Webkinz pet. They can be increased by feeding regular food or pet specific food, playing with,exercising, bathing the pet, putting it into its bed to sleep, and answering surveys. If these levels get too low, the virtual pet may get sick, so it must go to the doctor and be treated with special medicine.
I think Webkinz are cool because you can play with them on the computer, or you can play with them as stuffed animals so it's sort of like you get two things to play with.
